Stress and Worry
Came across these definitions from author Francis Chan from "Crazy Love":
Stress says that the things we are involved in are important enough to merit our impateince, our lack of grace towards others or our tight grip of control.
Worry implies that we don’t quite trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what is happening in our lives.
Hmmm....
Just to get some things off my chest: Today I feel stress and worried about...
-not getting my house back in order from the weekend -I pulled something in my back yesterday - eek! Major pain! On a scale - 8. How long will this be? (I'm old!) -getting all my p's and q's in order for our big Cru Women's Weekend (around 50 college women) this weekend (including my talk Friday night, Robby off to G-ma's, details, details, details) -having that back of the mind looming thought: will we have another kiddo? -can I do everything I've set out to do today? This week? This month? Am I enough?
(and then here's some everyday refreshing beauty to bring a little smile - beauty always speak some kind of peace to me)
