Birthday Bonanza

My friend and sweet running partner, Ruth, just turned another year older yesterday. No need to mention the age - but I will mention the birthday bonanza she had that day. She had a series of envelopes that had to be opened at specific windows of time leading her to lunch with a friend then a pedicure, then coffee with friends, some gifts and then a trip from Ohio to New York City for dinner! Ok, the Big Apple part is a lie - but the rest of it was true and fun!

We met up with her as her husband watched our kids so we could all have coffee - and the drinks were on him! It was as if I was having a birthday with that kind of treatment!
